AK Steel applauds ruling on NOES shipments

NEW YORK AK Steel Corp. is pleased with the U.S. Commerce Departments decision to issue preliminary subsidy rates on imports of non-oriented electrical steel (NOES) from China and Taiwan and is hopeful that further investigation will find significant subsidies for South Korean material.
Commerces International Trade Administration (ITA) calculated a preliminary subsidy rate of 125.83 percent on imports from China, an adverse facts available rate of 12.82 percent on Taiwans Leicong Industrial Co. Ltd. and a rate of 6.41 percent on all other imports from Taiwan (amm.com, March 19).....
