NEW YORK — Prices for used beverage cans (UBCs) moved higher March 20, with market players noting that intense competition for material coupled with the emergence of buyers willing to “overpay the market” had made things challenging.

UBC prices rose a penny to 77 to 79 cents per pound picked up vs. 76 to 78 cents March 17.....
