LOS ANGELES — A union representing employees at Spirit AeroSystems Inc. has filed federal discrimination charges against the aerospace contractor, alleging that 10 workers were laid off last year due to age or medical conditions.

The Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA), the company’s largest white-collar union, said it filed the charges with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. ....
