Zinc, lead to see ’14 supply shortfall: ILZSG

NEW YORK The global zinc and lead markets are expected to experience supply deficits in 2014, according to the International Lead and Zinc Study Group (ILZSG).
Global zinc usage is forecast to reach 13.58 million tonnes this year, up 4.5 percent from 2013, while refined zinc production is expected to grow 4.4 percent to 13.46 million tonnes in the same comparison, resulting in a deficit of 117,000 tonnes.....
