Aleris paying $180,000 to settle allegations

CHICAGO Aleris International Inc. has agreed to pay the state of Michigan $180,000 to settle alleged air pollution violations at its Coldwater, Mich., facility, according to state environmental regulators.
The terms of the proposed consent order require the Cleveland-based secondary aluminum producer to conduct additional pollution tests and could include fines of up to $10,000 for future violations, Michigan Department of Environmental....
