PITTSBURGH A U.S. senator may be seeking to reintroduce proposed legislation intended to reduce metal theft by attaching it as an amendment to a manufacturing bill that is active in the Senate.
The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries is opposing the amendment proposed by Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D, Minn.), arguing that it would create confusion and do nothing to address the problem of metal theft.....
