Alcoa expects construction activity to rise

CHICAGO North American construction activity should improve with better weather, but the regions packaging market needs to innovate if it expects to see gains, Alcoa Inc.s top executive said.
The Pittsburgh-based aluminum producer continues to expect a gradual recovery in nonresidential construction business in North America despite a slowdown in order intake from the sector in the first quarter, Alcoa chairman and chief executive officer Klaus Kleinfeld said during a conference call with analysts.....
