Minn. recycler looks to grow nonferrous site

PITTSBURGH Alliance Steel Service Co. will start construction on a 15,000-square-foot addition to its Minneapolis nonferrous recycling facility within the next several weeks after receiving approval from the city planning commission.
The Minneapolis-based recycler has been issued a conditional use permit to expand at its 6.23-acre site, according to a city official. Once completed, the work force at the facility will nearly double to 23 full-time employees.....
