Chile copper market said facing political risks

NEW YORK Chiles changing political landscape could challenge long-term copper production in the country, Cowen & Co. LLC analysts said in a report released April 16.
"Increasing governmental regulation and reliance on the mining industry to support societal needs could weigh on production in the worlds largest producer of copper," the report said. "This agenda was in sharp contrast to presentations by major mining company chief executive officers, who lamented the continued erosion of Chilean miners cost competitiveness."....
