Blackstone still interested in commodities

NEW YORK Private equity group Blackstone Group LP is still interested in becoming more involved in commodities but has yet to find the right vehicle to do so, according to one of its top executives.
The New York-based investment and advisory firm, which was shortlisted as a bidder for the physical commodities business of JPMorgan Chase & Co. (amm.com, Jan. 21), has been interested in the asset class for some time, president and chief operating officer Tony James said during the companys first-quarter....
