Ferroalloy contract offtake going strong

NEW YORK — Ferroalloy contract offtake has remained strong so far in the second quarter, producers and traders said, with spot prices rising across the board as a result.

AMM’s high-carbon ferrochrome prices inched up to $1.10 to $1.15 per pound this past week from $1.09 to $1.15 per pound previously after starting the year in a range of $1.02 to $1.05 per pound.....
