No auto impact yet from halt at USS Ecorse

CHICAGO U.S. automakers thus far appear to be unscathed by disruptions in the supply chain at domestic mills, including a force majeure at U.S. Steel Corp.s Great Lakes Works in Ecorse, Mich.
Various automakers said their assembly lines have not been impacted by the force majeure or weather-related problems elsewhere.
"So far weve not been impacted by a shortage of steel as a result of shipping delays or the stoppage at (U.S. Steels Ecorse facility). However, were watching the supply chain closely and will take appropriate actions if they become necessary," a General Motors Co. spokesman told AMM via e-mail, declining to elaborate.....
