Lake Erie Works’ coke ovens slated to restart

CHICAGO Coke ovens at U.S. Steel Corp.s Lake Erie Works in Nanticoke, Ontario, are expected to restart in early October, a union official said.
The tentative date for the restart is Oct. 1, a move that could create roughly 40 jobs, Bill Ferguson, president of United Steelworkers union Local 8782, told AMM April 25. USW Local 8782 represents unionized workers at Lake Erie Works.....
