Cunico Resources looking to grow ferronickel stance

LONDON Cunico Resources NVs acquisition of the Mayaniquel SA project in Guatemala fits the companys strategy of maintaining its position as a fully integrated ferronickel producer and targeting assets in emerging economies, it said.
Cunico Resources agreed to buy Vancouver, British Columbia-based Anfield Nickel Corp.s Mayaniquel subsidiary last week, acquiring 100 percent of existing shares for $43 million, although the final price is dependent on average nickel prices five years after the deal closes (amm.com, April 25).....
