Sherritt closes sale of coal business to two buyers

NEW YORK — Sherritt International Corp. has completed the sale of its coal business for Canadian $946 million ($863.6 million), the company said April 28.

Under the terms of the deal, Sherritt’s coal operating assets, described as the Toronto-based company’s "Prairie and Mountain Operations," have been sold to Englewood, Colo.-based Westmoreland....
