Judge triples MM Steel jury award

PITTSBURGH A federal judge has awarded MM Steel LP triple damages, or $156 million, in an antitrust lawsuit against a number of service centers and steel mills.
The $156-million award was filed April 29 in U.S. District Court in Texas and signed by Judge Kenneth M. Hoyt.
MM Steel was awarded $52 million by a federal jury in March (amm.com, March 26), and federal antitrust law allows that amount to be tripled.....
