Drew’s earnings jump on stronger RV sales

NEW YORK Drew Industries Inc.s net income surged in the first quarter due mainly to a 16-percent increase in sales in its recreational vehicles (RV) segment, the company said during an earnings conference call May 1.
The Elkhart, Ind.-based supplier of components for RVs and manufactured homes saw net income soar 93.1 percent for the three months ended March 31 compared with the same year-ago period on sales that jumped 13 percent in the same comparison.....
