MRC logs lower earnings in quarter but remains upbeat

NEW YORK MRC Global Inc.s profits fell 49.1 percent in the first quarter as its line pipe business was hit by adverse weather, but the company remains upbeat as conditions improve.
"We couldnt do much about the weather in the first two months, but a lot of things started happening in March," chairman, president and chief executive officer Andrew R. Lane said during the companys earnings conference call.....
