Allied Tube strike doesn’t impact deliveries

NEW YORK Unionized workers at Allied Tube & Conduit Corp.s facility in Harvey, Ill., have gone on strike after rejecting a tentative labor agreement, although customer deliveries remain unaffected, a spokeswoman for parent company Atkore International Holdings Inc. told AMM.
"We do continue to manufacture out of the Harvey facility and we are fulfilling our customer orders," she said, adding that Atkore had a contingency plan in place in the eventuality of a labor dispute and has an extensive network of domestic facilities from which it can source.....
