Gibraltar narrows loss, sees orders picking up

CHICAGO Gibraltar Industries Inc. drew red ink in the first quarter due to the cold winter that froze much of North America, although it narrowed its loss by 42.8 percent compared with a year earlier.
Sales declined 2.9 percent in the same comparison as poor weather slowed the normal seasonal ramp-up in orders that Gibraltar would typically see toward the end of the first quarter, chairman and chief executive officer Brian Lipke said.....
