Spirit’s net soars in qtr. on stronger deliveries

LOS ANGELES Spirit AeroSystems Holdings Inc.s net income soared 89.2 percent in the first quarter, due in part to stronger deliveries.
The companys chief executive officer touted a tentative pricing agreement reached recently with largest customer Boeing Co. as a good deal for both companies.
The Wichita, Kan.-based airframe subcontractor delivered 392 shipsets of fuselage, propulsion, wing and other systems during the three months ended April 3, up nearly 14 percent from 344 shipments in the same year-ago period.....
