Weber’s aero press key for capacity: Creed

LOS ANGELES Bullish aircraft demand projections as well as larger forgings required for a new generation of airliners have created a market for a new 60,000-ton aerospace forging press planned by Weber Metals Inc., the companys top executive said.
Weber president and chief executive officer J. Rick Creed said the company isnt concerned that its giant new press will result in an oversupply of forging capacity. "Just the opposite," he told reporters at the press dedication in Paramount, Calif. Without the type of investment planned by Weber, there would be "a shortage of capacity," he said.....
