RTI’s F-35 titanium shipments set to rise

LOS ANGELES RTI International Metals Inc.s titanium shipments to the Lockheed-Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program should grow by about one-third this year, and the companys top executive hopes to win additional work on the JSF program beyond its role as a supplier of mill product.
RTIs shipments for the JSF program will increase to about 2 million pounds this year from 1.5 pounds in 2013, according to Dawne S. Hickton, vice chairwoman, president and chief executive officer of Pittsburgh-based RTI, the primary supplier of titanium mill products for the F-35.....
