Moly prices jump on continued supply dearth

NEW YORK — Molybdic oxide and ferromolybdenum spot prices have jumped again due to supply tightness, with the market now firmly in the hands of the few suppliers with material to offer.

Canned molybdic oxide moved up to a range of $13.50 to $14.50 per pound from $13 to $13.50 previously, while ferromolybdenum increased to $16 to $17 per pound from $15.50 to $16.....
