ArcelorMittal furnace outage will start in June: Schorsch

CHICAGO ArcelorMittal SA planned maintenance outage to reline the No. 7 blast furnace at its Indiana Harbor complex in East Chicago, Ind., will commence in June, a company executive confirmed.
Shipments arent expected to be impacted as a result of the project, which the Luxembourg-based steelmaker has been planning for several years, Louis L. Schorsch, chief executive officer of ArcelorMittals Americas division, said during a quarterly earnings conference call May 9.
