NEW YORK — Hollow structural sections (HSS) producers east of the Rockies are pushing through further price increases in response to rising substrate costs.

American Tube Manufacturing Inc., Birmingham, Ala.; Atlas Tube Inc., a subsidiary of Chicago-based JMC Steel Group Inc.; Independence Tube Corp., Chicago; Maruichi Leavitt Pipe & Tube LLC, Chicago; and ExlTube Co., North Kansas City, Mo. (amm.com, May 8) all raised HSS prices by $40 per ton beginning May 2 and continuing into this....
