Amerigo logs loss in qtr. as sales, prices fall

NEW YORK Amerigo Resources Ltd. posted a net loss in the first quarter due to lower copper and molybdenum sales and declining metal prices.
The Vancouver, British Columbia-based mining companys copper selling price before smelting, refining and other charges averaged $3.36 per pound in the three months ended March 31, down 4.5 percent from $3.52 per pound a year earlier, while the average selling price for molybdenum dropped 12.4 percent to $9.93 per....
