TUCSON, Ariz. — Copper cathode demand is reportedly steady but unremarkable, with consumers looking for more improvement from end markets.

The copper cathode premium remained unchanged at a range of 7 to 7.5 cents May 8, while the July-delivery Comex copper contract—the most actively traded—settled at $3.0625 per pound, up 1.4 percent from $3.0215 May 1.....
