NEW YORK Globe Specialty Metals Inc. turned a profit in its fiscal third quarter thanks to improved end-market demand from aluminum castings manufacturers and producers of components for the solar industry.
The New York-based silicon metal and silicon-based alloys producers return to profitability for the three months ended March 31 contrasted with a year-earlier net loss as sales rose 0.1 percent to $196.1 million in the same comparison.....
