Ferroalloys imports mixed in March vs. Feb.

NEW YORK — U.S. imports of ferroalloys were mixed in March, with ferrosilicon and ferromanganese logging declines while ferromolybdenum and ferrovanadium moved higher compared with the previous month.

The United States imported 10,019 short tons of ferrosilicon in March, down 64.1 percent from 27,906 tons in February and 3.7 percent below the 10,403 tons imported a year earlier.

China was the largest source, with 7,469 tons (up from 564 tons in February). It was followed by Canada, with 1,229 tons (up from 886 tons in February), according to data compiled by AMM from the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission.....
