Kyle succeeds Griffith as Timken chief

NEW YORK — Timken Co. has promoted Richard G. Kyle to president and chief executive officer, effective immediately, and John M. Timken Jr. has been named non-executive chairman of the Canton, Ohio-based manufacturer of mechanical components and high-performance steels

Kyle, who joined Timken in 2006 as vice president of manufacturing, succeeds James W. Griffith, who is retiring from the company and did not seek re-election as a director. Griffith will remain with Timken until June 30 to assist with the leadership transition and oversee the spinoff of TimkenSteel Corp. as an independent publicly traded entity.....
