US brass mill imports, exports diverge

NEW YORK U.S. imports of brass mill products rose in March compared with the same month last year while exports were virtually flat, according to the latest statistics from the Copper and Brass Fabricators Council.
Imports of nearly 50.8 million pounds rose 21.1 percent from March 2013. The biggest supplier was Germany, at 10.5 million pounds, followed by South Korea (8.1 million pounds), China (4.6 million pounds), Chile (4.4 million pounds) and Mexico (4.2 million pounds).....
