Stainless steel pricing set to rise in June after NAS move

NEW YORK Stainless steel base prices are set to rise for the second time in three months, with domestic industry leader North American Stainless Inc. (NAS) slating an increase effective June 1.
NAS increase on all 200-, 300- and 430-series cold-rolled grades will be achieved by reducing the discount by 2 percentage points, the Ghent, Ky.-based producer said, adding that prices for automotive-grade product will rise $40 per ton.....
