Dofasco prepares to start up galvanizing line

NEW YORK ArcelorMittal Dofasco Inc. will commission a 700,000-ton galvanizing line in August, with the first coil expected to come off the line in December, a company spokeswoman told AMM in an e-mail.
"This Canadian $120-million ($110.1-million) investment positions ArcelorMittal Dofasco to supply the growing demand for advanced high-strength steels (AHSS) in the automotive market segment," vice president of technology Graham Reid said in a statement. ....
