Zinc premiums ease slightly amid terminal mart strength

NEW YORK — Zinc premiums inched down this past week as strength in the terminal markets led sellers to offer slight discounts on special-high-grade material.

AMM’s special-high-grade premium widened to 8.75 to 10 cents per pound from 9 to 10 cents previously, while the benchmark No. 3 and No. 7 alloys premium held steady at 19 to 20 cents per pound and No. 8 alloy remained at 22 to 24 cents.....
