Aluminum scrap tags mixed on weak exports

NEW YORK Secondary aluminum scrap prices were mixed this past week as export demand in particular was said to be tepid.
"Demand for scrap is good right now, but the market is still pretty weak overall," one supplier source said.
The domestic appetite is strong but export demand, particularly from China, has weakened, according to some participants, who noted that a seasonal slowdown usually occurs from June through August. ....
