Horsehead starts output at Mooresboro smelter

NEW YORK Horsehead Holding Corp. has begun production of zinc metal at its new Mooresboro, N.C., smelter.
The ramp-up to the plants initial capacity of 155,000 tons per year is expected to take up to six months, the company said. The plants coproduct recovery circuit is slated for completion at midyear, with full ramp-up expected to take 12 months.....
