Silicon metal prices up as US imports curbed

NEW YORK Silicon metal prices have increased over the past month, with sources noting that issues with Brazils power supply had caused U.S. imports to fall dramatically.
AMMs silicon metal price range rose to $1.38 to $1.40 per pound May 22 from $1.35 to $1.39 April 4, although market sources reported transactions at higher levels for less than truckload volumes.....
