Cold-roll import trade case said eyed

CHICAGO Offshore cold-rolled coil, particularly from China, could be in the crosshairs of a trade petition if import volumes continue to surge at rock-bottom prices, market sources said.
But the trigger might not be pulled on any trade petition until 2015, they said.
In the meantime, product could continue to pour into U.S. ports as offshore suppliers look to bring in as much material as possible ahead of any trade filing, market sources said.
"Theyll drop (the price) as much as they can to get as much (volume) as they can in under the wire," one service center source in the South said.....
