RTI buy adds powder metal parts capacity

LOS ANGELES RTI International Metals Inc.s acquisition of Dynamet Technology Inc. will bolster its capacity to produce powder metal titanium components and supports a move earlier this year into additive manufacturing.
Pittsburgh-based RTI paid $15.5 million for Dynamet Technology, a Burlington, Mass., supplier of near-net-shape titanium and titanium-alloy preforms and components to the aerospace, medical and industrial industries.....
