WC tubing prices steady, no further hikes seen

LOS ANGELES West Coast structural steel tubing prices remain firm as mills there continue to support an earlier increase.
The $40-per-ton ($2-per-hundredweight) increase took effect between mid-April and early May (amm.com, April 18) and brought prices for up to truckload quantities (about 20 tons) of core sizes of A500 Grade B hollow structural sections in the Los Angeles market to an estimated $990 to $1,010 per ton ($49.50 to $50.50 per cwt).
