Steel beam imports set for higher gains

LOS ANGELES May imports of steel beams look likely to surpass Aprils levels by 62.2 percent as import permit applications continued to pour in during the final three working days of the month.
Import license applications for standard and wide-flange beams totaled 63,176 tonnes in May vs. 38,942 tonnes in April, according to the U.S. Commerce Departments Enforcement and Compliance division. ....
