Alcoa union ratifies five-year labor accord

NEW YORK United Steelworkers union members have ratified a new five-year labor agreement with Alcoa Inc.
The agreement covers 6,100 employees at 10 of the aluminum producers facilities. The agreement includes general wage increases averaging $3.22 per hour, up 14.2 percent from the previous contract, and a ratification bonus of $1,000, the USW said June 6.....
