SDI steel beam shipments said delayed

LOS ANGELES Steel Dynamics Inc.s (SDIs) wide-flange beam shipments are still being plagued by delays even though this years disruptive winter weather problems have passed, according to market sources.
SDIs structural and rail division in Columbia City, Ind., recently started telling customers that it wont ship beams that have already been rolled and have been on the floor for three weeks, these sources said.
"Its taking about three to four weeks to get steel out of (Columbia City)" compared with a normal rate of about one week, an eastern service center executive said.....
