NEW YORK — Around 400,000 tonnes of aluminum has been pledged in Qingdao Port’s Dagang subsidiary, but as little as an eighth of it might actually exist, people familiar with the matter estimate. There are just 50,000 to 80,000 tonnes of aluminum in the port, according to estimates....
