Alcoa to sell Jamaican mining interest

NEW YORK Alcoa Inc. has signed a nonbinding letter of intent with Noble Resources UK Ltd. to pursue a sale of its stake in Alcoa Minerals of Jamaica LLC (AMJ).
AMJ operates the Jamalco bauxite mining and alumina refining joint venture. Jamalco is 55-percent owned by AMJ and 45-percent owned by Clarendon Alumina Production Ltd.....
