Scrap dealer gets probation for lying in probe

NEW YORK — A Pittsburgh scrap dealer who admitted wrongdoing in a $1-million nickel theft case has been placed on probation for one year and ordered to pay $148,297 in restitution.

George Warhola, owner of A.J. Warhola Scrap Metal, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Maryland in October to charges of obstructing justice for allegedly lying to federal agents during a grand jury....
