Alcoa boosting aerospace capabilities in Va.

NEW YORK Alcoa Inc. will invest $25 million to expand its Alcoa Power and Propulsion facility in Hampton, Va., to meet demand for next-generation aircraft engine parts.
The Pittsburgh-based company said the investment will allow it to scale-up a process technology that reduces the weight of its highest-volume jet engine blades by 20 percent and significantly improves aerodynamic performance.....
