International Wire balks at CN Wire incentives

NEW YORK CN Wire Corp., which is building a 256,000-square-foot copper wire facility in Doña Ana County, N.M., has raised the hackles of competitor International Wire Group Inc., which has operated in the county since 2011.
CN Wire, which has already received $2.75 million in discretionary funds from the state government, is also seeking $70 million in industrial revenue bonds, which will be issued in the form of tax credits on capital outlays required to build the plant (amm.com, June 13). In return, CN wire must create 195 full-time jobs in the county by July 1, 2017.....
