WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — The copper industry has finally attained its "field of dreams moment," with renewed demand on the way, according to Cushman & Wakefield Inc. chief economist Kenneth McCarthy.

"Employment growth is up and there’s a rebound coming after the long winter we’ve had," McCarthy said June 19 during the Metals Service Center Institute’s Copper & Brass Conference in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va. "The industry is all set to accelerate."....
